Their product - Dynescan - can be used by anyone, anywhere. It aims to improve the sustainability of livestock reproduction artificial intelligence technology for artificial insemination which can be adapted to a range of species and challenges. With farm conception rates falling and a lack of quality control standards across the industry, Dynescan is an easy-to-use, automated and portable instrument that solves these problems and is becoming the gold-standard in male fertility assessment. By improving conception rates on farms, Dyneval are returning more profit to farmers and helping to create more sustainable approaches to farming by lowering the carbon footprint.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Dyneval in a newly created role of Marketing Manager to deliver marketing and communications, while growing the Dyneval brand.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver marketing and communications activity on behalf of Dyneval for live exhibitions and digital marketing taking into account the perspectives of employees, customers and investors and responding to advice from the Commercial Managers and Executive Team. Work with the team to establish Dyneval's vision, mission and values and re-evaluate annually.
  • Work with the CEO and Commercial Managers to set a budget for marketing activity and a schedule that considers major events e.g. exhibitions, that you will deliver on.
  • Drive the Dyneval brand and story with approval of the Executive Team. Generate appealing and effective ways to communicate and promote Dyneval's vision and values. Incorporate customers into the narrative and use storytelling to attract new customers and increase the value of existing customers.
  • Develop a portfolio of communications to engage with all stakeholders to raise the profile of Dyneval and connections with partners, e.g. a regular newsletter and social media presence.
  • Lead on creating training materials to support product adoption.
  • Provide training for all Dyneval employees to contribute to Marketing and Communications activities, telling their stories, sharing their passion for the business and involving them in live exhibitions to help them understand customers.
  • Research and develop marketing materials to prepare for entry into new markets, e.g. human fertility.
  • Manage PR relationships on behalf of Dyneval, with support from the CEO.
  • Contribute to, and often lead, brainstorming activities to assist all areas of the business to drive sales and overall business growth and maintain team camaraderie and ensure the team adheres to the vision, mission and values.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Evidence of having created successful marketing campaigns
  • Knowledge and experience of both digital and traditional marketing
  • Experience in using Adobe programs (InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop) or equivalent
  • Evidence of brand development and supporting companies to grow successfully
  • Excellent written communication skills and accurate proof-reading.
  • An eye for detail and aesthetic
  • An ability to listen openly and to adapt
  • Professional presence and the ability to develop strong working relationships with a range of partners
  • Solid research skills with the ability to stay ahead of current marketing industry trends

Highly Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • A degree in a marketing or communications related subject
  • A sound understanding of science and technology with experience of communicating difficult topics to a range of listeners
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in planning, managing and executing multi-channel campaigns
  • Experience of pitching under pressure
  • The ability to present large quantities of data in understandable ways
  • Experience of delivering marketing messages through video

Salary £40,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience with company benefits.

Home based anywhere in the UK/Scotland with travel to their office on the outskirts of Edinburgh once a month for their monthly meeting.

Full-time (part-time negotiable)
